Department of Motor Vehicles

The Driver and Motor Vehicle Services Division (DMV), is a branch of the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT). Our mission is to promote driver safety, protect financial and ownership interests in vehicles, grant driving privileges, provide driver licenses and identification cards for Oregon residents and collect revenue for Oregon's roads. Our main headquarters building is located in Salem, OR and we provide local customer service offices throughout the state.
